Putting the Whooop into ‘out of office’

Leave Dates is a simple but clever tool that helps teams manage their time off effectively. After a few years of steady growth, their founder, Phil, and his team agreed their home-baked identity was holding them back in a competitive market. It was time for a complete brand evolution, a new website, and supporting marketing collateral. We were thrilled to work with them.

A refreshing brand evolution

Leave Dates saves time by reducing admin and conflicts within the workplace, which is great! Yet what their customers do with that time really matters, such as delivering on the promise of a business, spending time with family or learning to jive!

The new identity is simple, memorable and refreshing. Pairing product-focused content with a conversational tone of voice and images of empowered employees enjoying their newfound freedom from tedious procedures.

The Leave Dates logo is an 'evolution' from its old identity. The two lines visually represent time reserved within the Leave Dates app. These moments 'equal' times of joy and possibilities for their customers, a message that underpins the identity with their new strapline, Putting the Whooop into 'out of office.'

The use of colour reinforces the no-frills, no-fuss mantra within the organisation. The colours, inspired by office highlighter pens, are used in isolation on each page, delivering a bold yet clean and uncluttered aesthetic that reflects the app's promise.

Best-in-class website

The new Leave Dates website is built on Craft CMS, allowing content editors to create and edit pages within a clean and intuitive page builder. The website includes an animated product showcase and an interactive pricing calculator. In addition, the new site is highly optimised, achieving an impressive +95% on all Lighthouse metrics on launch.
