It's time for a new story
Fudge is an animation studio based in Surrey. They initially approached Ambition for a new website, but throughout the discovery session, it became clear that they also needed a brand evolution if they were to achieve their goals.
Initially, the founders were hesitant after several failed attempts to evolve their logo with other agencies. However, their old identity was really holding them back.
Evolution, not revolution
The new logo needed to retain its friendly, playful characteristics whilst growing up into an emblem that meant business. This subtle shift reflected the team's ambitions of winning long-term commissions from large TV networks.
Born storytellers
Stories are at the heart of Fudge, from the characters they create to the teams they build and the programmes they produce. The visual identity uses a 'storyline' that flows through each design, framing content and holding everything together. This simple mechanism is paired with a broad colour palette, ensuring it can complement a range of illustrative styles.
Bring it all to life
The animators at Fudge have produced wonderful characters within their commissions, and we wanted to bring them to life on the website. However, this presented a new challenge for our developers and creatives, one that drove us to develop new skills and techniques. Nevertheless, it was worth the extra effort as the animated characters now step out of their background scenes and into the site, creating a wonderfully rich viewing experience.
