HPI Buyers Guide
HPI Web App Design & Build / Bootstrap
HPI are the go-to service for car history checks in the UK. Having worked with sister company Audatex on a UI project, the team at HPI approached Ambition to design and build the front-end of a web form, to be used primarily on mobile devices, to establish whether an HPI check is recommended when purchasing a used vehicle. What started as a simple questionnaire soon became a fully responsive web application.
The buyers guide has been divided into two sections: one offering hints and tips that can be applied when viewing a used vehicle and the other asking important questions about the specific vehicle, such as whether it has a known service history etc. Based on the users response, a total score is accumulated and a suggestion is offered as to whether the car is safe to buy, to proceed with caution or to be avoided.
Our team designed a modern, intuitive interface utilising HPIs brand guidelines. The user is guided through each question step-by-step, using large mobile friendly buttons. Icons were designed which incorporate a traffic light colour system to represent the safety of the potential purchase. Completed code was supplied to the server-side dev team at HPI for integration into their back-end systems.
